Liquidity provider

Liquidity provider is anyone who deposits a pair of tokens into a liquidity pool to enable trading, earning a pro-rata share of the swap fees in return.

In DeFi a liquidity provider is an everyday user, not an institutional market maker. You receive LP tokens when you deposit and redeem them to withdraw your share plus accrued fees.
